What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit, and the monthly rent was $1,036.84. The Tenant had not paid the full rent from April 1, 2020 to January 31, 2021, and the Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective June 25, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $73.68 in arrears and $175.00 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $248.68. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 9, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
