What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Tenant has been persistently late in paying the rent. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

Relief from eviction is granted subject to the condition that the Tenant shall pay new rent on time and in full, as it becomes due and owing, for the period between May 1, 2023 to April 1, 2024. If the Tenant fails to comply with this condition, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
