What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because they or another occupant of the rental unit have committed an illegal act or have carried out, or permitted someone to carry out an illegal trade, business or occupation in the rental unit or the residential complex.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 3, 2021. The Tenants must move out by May 3, 2021 and pay the Landlord $8,619.06, which includes compensation for use of the unit, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. If the Tenants do not pay by May 11, 2021, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
