What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective October 19, 2021. The Tenants did not pay the arrears and were not present at the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 7, 2022, unless the Tenants void the order by paying the specified amount. The Tenants must pay $5,445.77 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $53.15 per day from February 25, 2022, until they move out. The Tenants must also pay $186.00 for the application filing fee. If full payment is not made by March 7, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
