What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to plans to demolish the rental unit. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2019. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. If the unit is not vacated by August 31, 2019, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction.
