What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice of Termination effective May 28, 2017, which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 2, 2017. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $136.88, plus $18.04 per day starting August 23, 2017 until the Tenant moves out, and $190.00 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 2, 2017, the Tenant will start owing interest and the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
