What happened
Tenant applied for an order determining that the Landlord harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with the Tenant; entered the rental unit illegally; altered the locking system on a door giving entry to the rental unit or residential complex without giving the Tenant replacement keys; and substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex by the Tenant or by a member of the Tenant's household.
The ruling
The Landlord is ordered to pay the Tenant $1,223.64, which includes a rent abatement of $80 for the period the Tenant was locked out, $1,004 for lost wages, $124.64 for out-of-pocket expenses, and $95 for replacement of lost property. The tenancy is terminated effective September 27, 2016.
