What happened
Tenant filed T2 and T6 applications alleging the Landlord substantially interfered with reasonable enjoyment, withheld vital services, and failed to meet maintenance obligations. Issues included plumbing problems in the first unit and insect infestation in the second unit after the Tenant was moved.
The ruling
The Board dismissed both the T2 and T6 applications filed by the Tenant. The evidence did not support findings that the Landlord failed to maintain the units in good repair, substantially interfered with reasonable enjoyment, or withheld vital services. The Landlord was found to have responded appropriately to the Tenant's complaints when made aware of issues.
