What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Landlord's father requiring possession of the rental unit for residential occupation. The Tenant disagreed with the Landlord's reasons, believing the Landlord was targeting her due to her low rent and high water usage.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective December 31, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the unit by this date. The Tenant will owe the Landlord $25.91 per day for compensation for use of the unit from January 1, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
