What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on December 15, 2021. The condition was that Tenants were to pay the lawful rent for January in full on or before January 1, 2022, which they failed to do.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 4, 2022. Tenants must vacate the rental unit by this date. If not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for eviction enforcement starting February 5, 2022. The Tenants have until February 3, 2022, to file a motion with the Board to set aside the order.
