What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to the Landlord requiring possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The Landlord's application is dismissed, without prejudice, due to the Landlord's failure to provide the required one month's rent compensation to the Tenants under Section 48.1 of the Act.
