What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's conduct substantially interfering with the Landlords' reasonable enjoyment or lawful rights. The Landlords claimed the Tenant refused to allow them access to the rental unit to replace filters and smoke alarms, and failed to clean up dog excrement in the residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the rental unit by October 23, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlords $7,381.84, which includes compensation for use of the unit, the application filing fee, and damages. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 23, 2021, the Landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
