What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation. The main issues were the validity of the N12 notice and whether the required compensation was provided.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated as of March 31, 2022. The Tenant must move out by this date. If the Tenant does not vacate, they must pay $29.59 per day from April 1, 2022, until they vacate. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting April 1, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
