What happened

Landlord applied for an order to require Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on June 14, 2020 but was in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed. The Tenant did not pay the total rent the Tenant was required to pay for the period from February 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $3,150.00 in rent arrears up to June 30, 2020, and $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 15, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
