What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenants were still in possession of the rental unit on the hearing date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $6,695.55 to void the order by May 29, 2023. If the Tenants do not pay, they must move out by May 29, 2023 and pay the Landlord $4,945.56, plus daily compensation of $27.31 per day starting May 2, 2023 until they move out.
