What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenants were not present at the hearing.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the monthly rent on or before the first day of every month from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023. If the Tenant fails to make any one of the payments, the Landlord may, without notice to the Tenant and within 30 days of the breach, apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the amount owing by September 27, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 3.0% annually on the balance outstanding.
