What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant breached a previous conditional order requiring timely rental payments. The Tenant agreed that he did not pay rent on August 1, 2021 and owed $1,555 to the Landlord.

The ruling

The previous order SWL-52150-21 issued on June 18, 2021 was set aside. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $1,555 by October 14, 2021, which includes rent arrears and the Landlord's filing costs. The Tenant is also ordered to pay rent on time going forward. If the Tenant fails to make any of the required payments, the Landlord may apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
