What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 5, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,969.51, which includes the remaining rent arrears from the previous order, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $69.04 per day in compensation for occupying the unit after April 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 5, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest starting April 6, 2021.
