The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 27, 2021. The tenant is ordered to pay $672.74 to the landlord, which includes rent arrears up to September 16, 2021 and the landlord's filing fee, less the rent deposit. The tenant shall also pay $31.42 per day in compensation for use of the unit from September 17, 2021 until the date they vacate. If the full amount is not paid by September 27, 2021, the tenant will owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
