What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The parties reached an agreement through LTB facilitated mediation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must vacate the rental unit on or before February 28, 2023. The last month rent deposit will be used to cover the rent for the period of February 1, 2023 to February 28, 2023. The Landlord is waiving the rent due from November 22, 2022 through to and including January 31, 2023. The Tenants shall continue to pay the utilities until the end of the tenancy less $365.00 due to repairs to the dryer.
