What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The Tenant did not pay the full rent for November 2021 as required by the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 4, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $8,988.26, which includes the rent arrears up to November 30, 2021 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $26.83 per day for compensation for use of the unit from December 1, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 4, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest on the outstanding balance.
