What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 18, 2020. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $1,168.11, which includes rent arrears up to March 31, 2020 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $40.29 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting April 1, 2020 until they move out.
