Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued by the LTB on August 19, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 30, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,173.66 less any payments made after the application was filed, representing rent arrears up to January 19, 2023 less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $63.19 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting January 20, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
