What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 4, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $17,838.91, which includes rent arrears up to December 20, 2021 and costs from the previous application, less the rent deposit. The Tenant must also pay $41.92 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting December 21, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 4, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
