What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 30, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $2,041.32, which includes compensation for use of the unit, the application fee, and the rent deposit less interest owed. If the Tenant does not pay by October 30, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction.
