What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 14, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the unit by this date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $7,276.08 in compensation for use of the unit from February 1, 2022 to June 22, 2022, and $186 in filing costs. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 15, 2022, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
