What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for his parents.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated, effective September 7, 2021. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before September 7, 2021. If the Tenant does not vacate the rental unit on or before September 7, 2021, the Tenant shall also pay to the Landlord $71.80 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from September 8, 2021 to the date the Tenant moves out of the unit.
