What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The parties reached an agreement to terminate the tenancy on January 12, 2024.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 12, 2024. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $7,910, which includes rent arrears and the application filing fee, minus the last month's rent deposit and interest. If the Tenant does not vacate by January 12, 2024, they must pay $87.12 per day until they move out. If the Tenant fails to make the required payments, the Landlord may apply for an earlier termination of the tenancy.
