Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 30, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date and pay the Landlord $4,468.09 in compensation for use of the unit from October 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022, plus $29.59 per day from March 1, 2022 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 30, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
