What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Tenants had vacated the rental unit prior to the hearing date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 18, 2021, unless the Tenants pay the outstanding rent arrears of $2,534 by that date. If the Tenants void the eviction order by paying the arrears, they may remain in the unit but must pay rent on time and in full for the next 12 months. If they fail to do so, the Landlord may apply to terminate the tenancy.
