What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Tenants had vacated the rental unit on July 31, 2020 prior to the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlords $3,425, which represents the rent arrears, application fee, less the amount set off from a previous order. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by May 15, 2021, they will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
