What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Tenants entered into an agreement to terminate the tenancy. Due to circumstances related to Covid-19, there has been a delay in the construction of the home the Tenants intend to move to after vacating the rental unit. The Tenants requested that the termination of the tenancy be delayed to August 31, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlords and the Tenants is terminated. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before August 31, 2021. If the unit is not vacated on or before August 31, 2021, then starting September 1, 2021, the Landlords may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced.
