What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. Landlord also applied to terminate the tenancy because Landlord entered into an agreement of purchase and sale and the purchaser requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 19, 2023. The Tenant must pay $30,936 to void the order for rent arrears or $25,322.79 to the Landlord if the order is not voided. If the unit is not vacated by February 19, 2023, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
