What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 30, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date and pay the Landlord $10,727.10 in compensation for use of the unit from November 1, 2020 to July 19, 2021, as well as $41.10 per day from July 20, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. The Tenant must also pay the $186 application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 30, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
