What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Tenants had paid all arrears for the period ending July 31, 2021 after the application was filed, but the only amount outstanding was $184.50 towards the Landlord's cost of filing the application.

The ruling

The order is limited to the Tenants paying the Landlord $184.50, the balance owing for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by August 23, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
