What happened

Landlord applied for an order determining that Tenant abandoned the rental unit. The Tenant had not paid rent since July 2021 and the Tenant's family had removed the Tenant's belongings from the rental unit.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 25, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
