What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex, wilful or negligent damage to the rental unit, and illegal acts committed in the rental unit or residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 5, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $2,574.85 for the cost of repairing the damage and $186 for the application filing fee, for a total of $2,760.85. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by February 5, 2023, they will owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance starting February 6, 2023.
