What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's yelling and banging on the floors and walls of the rental unit, which substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of other tenants.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective December 10, 2020. The Tenant must vacate the unit by December 10, 2021 and pay the Landlord $8,834.46 in compensation for use of the unit from October 14, 2020 to November 29, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 10, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. If the unit is not vacated by December 10, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
