What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued on August 23, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by November 15, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $11,262.35, which represents the rent owing up to October 31, 2021 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $82.56 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting November 1, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 15, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
