What happened
Tenant applied for an order determining that the Landlord failed to meet the Landlord's maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 or failed to comply with health, safety, housing or maintenance standards.
The ruling
The Landlord shall pay the Tenant $1,545.90, which includes a rent abatement of $670.90 for the ceiling leak and missing screen door, $750 to replace the damaged mattress, $80 for the air mattress, and $45 for the application fee. The Landlord shall also inspect the bedroom ceiling and make necessary repairs by June 30, 2019.
