What happened
Tenant applied for an order determining that Landlord failed to meet maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 or failed to comply with health, safety, housing or maintenance standards.
The ruling
The Landlord shall pay the Tenant a rent abatement of $601.73 and $50.00 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $651.73, by June 30, 2017. If the Landlord does not pay by the due date, the Tenant may deduct the outstanding amount from future rent payments.
