What happened
Tenant filed an application alleging that the Landlords harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with the Tenant, entered the rental unit illegally, substantially interfered with the Tenant's reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit, withheld the reasonable supply of a vital service, and breached their maintenance obligations.
The ruling
The Landlords failed to ensure the reasonable supply of hot water from March 15 to July 19, 2017, and are ordered to pay the Tenant $414.25 as a rent abatement. The tenancy is terminated as of August 31, 2017, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by that date.
