What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to non-payment of rent. The parties agreed that the tenants owed the landlord $4,000 up to the end of December 2021, and the tenants requested a payment plan.
The ruling
The previous order TNL-24224-20 issued on August 30, 2021 is cancelled and replaced. The tenants are ordered to pay the landlord $4,000 in arrears, with $2,000 due on December 13, 2021 and $500 per month from January to April 2022. The tenants must also pay the lawful rent in full and on time during this period. If the tenants fail to make the payments, the landlord can apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the tenants.
