What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the mediated settlement issued on March 11, 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 19, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $14,394.56 (less any amount paid after the application was filed) for rent arrears up to February 8, 2021, and $49.32 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 9, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 19, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
