What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The only part of the application that proceeded was the claim for rent arrears. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $96.80, which includes the outstanding balance for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 11, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
