What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants did not attend the hearing despite proper service of notice. The Landlords served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order by paying $33,186.00 by December 18, 2022. If not voided, the Tenants must move out by December 18, 2022, and pay $29,436.97 plus $72.33 per day from November 10, 2022, until they vacate. The Landlords may file for eviction enforcement starting December 19, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
