What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The parties attended a hearing and participated in Board facilitated mediation to resolve the dispute.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenants is terminated. The Tenants must vacate the unit on or before September 15, 2024. If the unit is not vacated on or before September 15, 2024, the Landlord may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced. The Landlord waives all remaining arrears of rent up to July 31, 2024, the daily rent from September 1, 2024, to September 15, 2024, and the application filing fee. The Tenants shall pay $72.32 for each day they remain in the rental unit past the termination date set out in this order. The Tenants withdraw the T5 portion of their application.
