What happened

Tenants applied for an order determining that the Landlord gave a notice of termination in bad faith. The Tenants vacated the rental unit on July 31, 2020 based on the Landlord's intention to sell the property, but the Landlord did not serve an N12 notice. The Landlord later rented out the property for a higher rent.

The ruling

The Tenants' application is dismissed as the Board does not have jurisdiction to grant the requested remedies under section 57 of the Residential Tenancies Act.
