What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice of Termination effective November 19, 2019, which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The tenant had not paid the full rent from January 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 15, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,597.02, plus $4.73 per day starting August 5, 2020 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant pays $1,722 on or before August 15, 2020, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy will continue.
