What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must vacate the rental unit by May 29, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. However, the eviction cannot be enforced until the Ontario government removes the regulation that currently prohibits evictions.
